At White Oak Institute, we know that everyone feels worried sometimes. School, friends, and new things can make kids feel nervous or stressed. For some kids, these feelings can get really big and hard to handle. This can make things tricky at home, at school, or with friends.
Our weekly group is a safe and friendly place where kids can talk about their worries and learn how to feel better. Led by a caring therapist, we’ll practice simple ways to calm down, solve problems, and handle stress in healthy ways—together as a team!

This group is here to help kids understand themselves better, make stronger friendships, and feel more confident as they grow up. Led by a caring therapist, the group is a safe and friendly place where kids can connect with others who have similar challenges.
Together, we’ll learn new ways to handle big feelings, practice real-life situations, and find healthy ways to get along with others.
You don’t have to handle life’s ups and downs on your own. Join us to grow and feel better—together!
Helping Kids with the Challenges of Growing Up
Growing up can be exciting, but it can also feel tricky at times. Kids today face lots of feelings and challenges as they learn more about themselves and how to make and keep good friendships. Sometimes, these challenges can lead to feeling worried, sad, or frustrated.
At White Oak Institute, we offer a safe and caring space where kids can learn and grow. Through our Coping Skills for Kids group, they’ll practice important tools like calming breaths, mindfulness, ways to manage big feelings, and how to get along with others. Parents can feel confident knowing their kids are supported as they build skills to feel strong and happy.
Together, we’ll help kids celebrate what makes them special, connect with friends who understand, and learn how to handle life’s ups and downs with confidence and kindness.
